With the passage of the state budget and AB 114, the responsibility for providing school-based mental health services has, for the most part, shifted back to school districts. Given this change, what are school districts to do about mental health services and placements currently on IEPs? Are there services such as medication management or psychotherapy that school district may not be required to provide? What about the implications for staffing, job descriptions and collective bargaining? This webinar will highlight a number of issues that school districts will need to examine as they begin to provide school-based mental health services for eligible students.
