It's a privilege serving California's school and community college districts. The careful and effective representation of our clients is not a responsibility I take lightly. I use a personable approach to resolve complicated legal issues so that school administrators can remain mission-focused.

Overview

Ryan Donoghue is a member of the firm’s Business, Facilities, and Real Estate group. Based out of the Sacramento office, Ryan navigates our clients’ governance, property, construction, and litigation issues with a focus on contributing to our team’s success in safeguarding their interests.

Prior to joining F3, Ryan represented private litigants and public entities in federal and state civil proceedings with an emphasis on pretrial discovery and motion practice. He gained experience with business and property transactions having previously served school and community college districts as an associate at an education law firm. Clerkships at state departments during law school prepared him to assist local education agencies with Public Records Act requests, Brown Act meeting procedures, fair political practices, public works contracts, CEQA compliance and litigation, land use, phases of planning, facilities construction, and property disposition.

At McGeorge School of Law, Ryan earned a Water & Environmental Concentration and was an active member of the Water Law Society as well as the Rugby Club. Ryan’s degree in English Literature from the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe complements his precise and intent communication in legal settings.
