Overview

With over 20 years of human resources experience, Deetra “Dee Dee” Roulhac brings a valuable background in both the legal services and higher education industries to her position at F3 Law. Constantly striving to provide an employee-oriented culture, Dee Dee emphasizes empowerment, productivity, standards, and goal attainment in all aspects of hiring, professional development, and retention. She and her team aim to go beyond being transactional—they endeavor to be transformational.

To facilitate the ongoing development of a high-caliber workforce, Dee Dee formulates policies and employment practices, designs and executes talent acquisition strategies, and evaluates organizational effectiveness. Constantly building relationships, Dee Dee is a trusted advisor and often takes on the role of a coach who gives encouragement and a nudge when needed.

As Dee Dee puts it, she is “always working to make things better for the people I serve.” Whether she’s enhancing the employee experience with new technologies, identifying mental health resources for an employee’s well-being, or connecting an attorney with someone who can train them on the proper legal analysis of a novel issue, DeeDee supports and contributes to the firm’s vision, values and strategic objectives. She implements inclusive policies that honor the firm’s diversity while unifying everyone with “a collective language”—an approach that significantly strengthens recruitment and retention success.

The dynamic, ever-changing nature of the human resources landscape inspires Dee Dee to stay in a continual learning mode. She keeps updated on new statutes and developments and applies this knowledge strategically for the betterment of the firm’s professionals and their clients. She also chairs the mentoring committee and co-chairs the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee.

A product of the public school system, Dee Dee enthusiastically embraces F3’s mission of supporting school districts and other administrative agencies in their quest to provide an outstanding education to all their students.

After School

My husband and I have four kids who keep us very busy—even the ones who are now young adults and out of the house. We're a tight-knit group that loves spending time with each other and our pets. As someone who ran track for many years, I keep that athlete mindset alive by staying active. I go outside as often as possible and enjoy hanging out at the beach. I love music and dancing, and I love going to concerts. I'm also an avid reader who likes a variety of genres, including fantasy, mysteries, and historical fiction.
