The Daily Journal highlighted a lawsuit filed by F3 Law attorneys Jessica Ehrlich and Jonathan Velsaquez on behalf of client the Judicial Council of California. The suit alleges that architectural firm Esherick, Homsey, Dodge, and Davis APC caused the Judicial Council to incur an estimated $3 million in excess costs and delayed the completion of a $78 million brand new courthouse in Yreka, CA. The complaint alleges that the architectural firm “provided deficient designs and failed to properly coordinate its work” related to the construction of the Siskiyou County Superior Courthouse. The claims for relief center around three main design deficiencies: plaster/stucco cracking; replacement of the chiller; and errors and omissions that resulted in excessive change orders.
